This solution was discovered by the paediatrician Ernst Moro when he was looking for a homemade solution to reduce diarrhoea in children hospitalised with gastroenteritis or severe gastroenteritis, as this disease was one of the main causes of mortality in children at the time.
When carrots are cooked, oligosaccharides (short-chain sugars) are formed that closely resemble certain receptors found in the colon walls of both humans and dogs. Rather than sticking to the intestinal wall, where they multiply, produce toxins and create severe inflammation that leads to diarrhoea, pathogens instead adhere to these oligosaccharides and can be easily expelled from the body, both in faeces and urine.
Uses: dietary changes, occasional gastrointestinal disorders due to travel, unusual changes, etc. If symptoms persist, speak with your veterinarian about fasting for 12 to 24 hours.
